Hey Guys (and Gals)

 

I just got the PMDG 737 boxed set when it was on sale through Aerosoft and it's a great bird.  The problem I'm having is getting some of the textures for the -800W to show up.  I have the texture folder in place and the aircraft.cfg changed (added the plane I'm trying to put in) but when I go to pick the plane out...it's not there.  Nothing at all.  Everything is in place...unless I'm missing something.  The only plane I have in there that I've added is in United colors (post merger).  Can't add any AAL or Continental.

Peter...the UAL livery for the -800W is the only one showing up.  If it's a mess...it's working.  The others are not.

The United will show up because [fltsim.3] entry is correct.

 

.4 and .5 are incorrect and will not work. What is more they are preventing any subsequent entries .6 .7 etc from showing

If you look at the first three entries for the PMDG livery plane that will give you a guide how the entries should work. I have only copied here the relevant bits so you can see them easily. Use the full entries when editing the .cfg file.

Now what I do in my set up is ONLY use one [fltsim.x] entry for each aircraft texture. So I only use the text in the last version ...the 2d plus VC plus cabin.  It makes it a lot easier to edit the .cfg file

if you want to use my method , just use the following instead of the current entries (make a backup first), and you will have simpler entries with all aircraft showing the 2d;VC;and cabin

 

If you use the PMDG auto installer to add new textures you will need to edit the .cfg file afterwards. Just make sure all [fltsim.x] entries start at 0 and go up incrementally.

Peter...thanks a much.  Yea, I wish there was an auto installer for those but there isn't.  Prob cause it's for FS9.  Will add them now.
