a water wave question

hey everyone 

 

i have a question regarding water in FSX 

my water looks great i have nice wave animations 

 

however for some reason there are all these static white wave looking lines that dont move and look terrible

 

 

 

see picture 

 

anyone have any idea how to turn these off or get rid of them ?

i have REX 

GEX 

UTX 

and also running FS water 

 

any help would be great

Is there any way to turn them off

 

I'm talking about the ones in straight patterns, not the tops of the waves

I think those are supposed to simulate "waves", while the animated parts simulate "swells".  At sea, you can have both waves and swells, and they don't always travel in the same direction.

 

Or it could visually simulate the "angel hair" effect that occurs at sea during strong winds.

 

At any rate, don't know how to reliably "turn them off", as that involves manually searching through texture files and removing/renaming it, and I'm not certain removing that particular texture won't have negative effects in other aquatic regions...
