RW Weather Frozen?

Featured Replies

I've seen no change in downloaded FS RW weather data for days now. Anybody else seeing this?

Yes, Its seems to be out for about three weeks now.

Thanks for confirming. 3 weeks sounds about right. On closer examination there are significant differences in the .wx file binary data from one DL to the next, so at least ~something~ is being updated, but definitely not winds & temps. I just hope it's temporary. and not some harbinger of the death of FS RW weather.

The DL in my area, Long Island New York, shows the same conditions as May 25th. So if something is changing I dont know what. I think it was march when it was down for a month. So it may be back.

For a very good alternative try FSRealWxLite. You'll need an unregistered copy of FSUIPC as well, which is also free.

It gives you a much better weather than FS2004 real weather. I use it since February's real weather failure and I'm very satisfied.

Same here... on my single core Pentium 4, I even noticed a slight increase in frame rates using FSRealWxLite! I read somewhere that it had to do with 'smoothing'.

Oh well; any improvement is a plus!
