Experience X night lights versus UTX Night lights Perf.

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I have to disable all UTX night light because of the huge hit on performance.  I am thinking of getting Experience X, could anyone comment on its performance hit?  I have seen a lot of praises for it but some also mentioned using UTX night light as well which made me wonder.

Thx

Good question. Since I got my new rig last year In December, I haven't installed UTX Europe. I love the 3D lights in dawn and at night, but the performance hit on my old machine was really bad...

Bought UTX solely for the Night Lighting to enhance MSE 2 photo scenery. Turned everything else off, runs fine on my setup.

Arnie....if it ain't broke, don't fix it...

Turned everything else off

Could you explain a bit more on this? Turning what off?  all other UTX features?

Thanks

I don't know what your old machine was but mine is a i7-2700K @ 4.8 Ghz and I still have to turn all the lighting off because they were eating about 8 FPS and for the NGX the sim became a slide show @ 11 FPS.

Thanks

@Anxu00    Turning what off? all other UTX features?......YES.

For Europe I have a lot photo scenery.

Me too I have UTX night lighting enabled.

I did not turn down the autogen as NL2000 , VFR Germany, Swiss Pro , TreeScapes UK and several France VFR scenery have autogen.

When Orbx World textures will be released it will complement it by filling up the area where I do not have photoscenery yet.

The textures colors and the way they look match thevphotoscenery better than GEX EU.
