June 18, 201312 yr Is it worth waiting for the Ivy Bridge Extreme and use it with a GTX Titan thanks. That's my plan ;o) I've even contemplated SB-E still as I don't think the difference will be significant, unless Intel decided to use metal for TIM in IB-E and therefore make overclocking easier. I have concerns over IB-E w/ 6 or 8 cores and poorly conductive TIM in that it may not o'c as well as SB-E and therefore the effective difference could be minimal when o'clocked. When the chip comes out, SBE should stay on the market for a little while, allowing you to see which is better. Ryan L.

I don't think SB-E overclocks better than SB but SB in general is an excellent over clocker from what I read here. Be aware the extra cores in the 6 core model don't offer a lot of help for FSX, but some as I understand it from improved texture loading.
