I'm looking to pick up a refurbished monitor (probably off ebay) to replace my Viewsonic 22" (also bought refurbished 5 years ago off ebay).

Obviously, I'm not looking for the best quality with all the bells and whistles. Just a monitor that does 60hz and 1080p and isn't just an absolute dog. The Viewsonic I have now is pretty basic and I've been fine with it.

Any brands I should avoid or specs I need to be educated on to avoid?

I bought a QNiX 27" from EBay for $330 delivered to my door. Supports 2560x1440 and 1080p as well as over clock to 120hz.

Make sure you buy a monitor that has a pixel guarantee if purchasing a monitor online.
