June 27, 201312 yr Can someone please define the FSX path to which the Navigraph air cycle should be installed? Thanks Dom
June 27, 201312 yr Depending on which aircraft or flight planning software you're using, it can change. Usually you choose the FSX root directory. For Flight Sim Commander (flight planning, it is the FSC root. For the PMDG's (like the 737NGX), and the FS1 MD-80 Super Pro, it's the FSX root. For the Maddog, you need to install it in 2 different directories, using the PMDG download. Read the 'readme' file that comes with your download for the final authority. -= Gary Barth =-
June 27, 201312 yr Commercial Member The standard <SIM>\Navigraph\Navdata\ path is the default location for these files but you may Browse to different folders on FSX and Prepar3D systems should they be located elsewhere (e.g. NavDataPro folder). The Navigraph Navdata supplied for the PMDG aircraft is in your <SIM>\PMDG\NAVDATA folder in the wpnavaid.txt and wpnavfix.txt Navigraph files. iFLY files are in the <FSX>\iFly\Navdata folder. If you do not have any Navigraph files then a default version of the files (apart from SIDs and STARs) are automatically installed into your <SIM>\Navigraph\Navdata folder Cheryl
June 27, 201312 yr Commercial Member We supply a set of Navdata (no SIDs and STARs) installed in your OpusFSX folder which the FPA will use if it doesn't find any in the usual places. By default the FPA will check the standard Navigraph\Navdata folders, then the PMDG\NAVDATA folder, then our own OpusFSX Navigraph data. We currently accept the standard Navigraph format, the PMDG Navigraph format, and the iFly Navigraph data. We also decode the above SIDs and STARs formats, checking the standard Proc, SIDSTARS, and SIDS and STARS folders, looking for .txt, .sid, and .star file types. But you do NOT have to define a path, leave it saying Default, unless you do not have any of the above or wish to specifically use the <FSX>\PMDG\NAVDATA, or some other folder. You must install the latest Beta though as the earlier betas did not search all the folders or install the OpusFSX data. Stephen
