Hello. Just got a new computer to run FSX only and I can't download RC? I click on the download link and nothing happens? I also wanted to check that I do have to download a new install when I get a new computer?

If your backed up your download zip file and it is for version 4.3845 then you can install that on your new computer. You also may have to install a couple of runtime library modules (see pinned topic about error 713 - missing modules) before you execute the install. When you get to executing the install assuming you are in Win VISTA or later, right click on the unzipped .exe and select run as admin. You will require a new registration key and if your user name and e-mail have not changed you can use the automatic system to create and send the e-mail to get a key.

 

Be sure jdtllc.com is allowed through your spam filters on your PC and your Internet Provider.

 

After you have successfully installed and registered RCv4, update fsuipc and makerwys.exe from the pinned topic links and then run from within the RCv4 scenery rebuild again.

 

If you have changed your e-mail address from the time that you ordered before you will be required to have your new information sent to [email protected] subject Registration User Information update. It should be taken care of within one business day under normal circumstances. Include your old and new e-mail address and user name. If you wish you can paste the product code from the registration window into that e-mail including any "-" if present and then your key will be manually sent.

 

After your RCv4 is installed and registered also set up as shortcut to it. Right click on the shortcut and select properties, then Advanced. In the next pop-up Window click on Run as Admin to check it, then OK until you get back to the first property window and then click Apply to save the settings. This is for VISTA and Win 7, maybe Win8.
