The closest I think we would be able to get, unless DCS releases a World Wide Scenery, is for developers to use DCS for their system and Physics, and X-Plane for Scenery Generation. This of course is me day dreaming.

DCS's flight and systems modelling are indeed unique.

 

As I've stated countless times, I restarted simming by the hands of MS FLIGHT early last year, and placed on that simulation platform my best hopes. Then, we all know what happened...

I still count on some miracle to happen, and somehow some light at the end of the tunnel is starting to show...

 

I am here because in between XPX, FSX and P3D I decided it would be stupid of me not to profit from the best add-ons I ever bought for each flight simulation platform. FSX-wise this is certainly any stuff from PMDG, A2A or RealAir...

 

But, after many years of simming, I confess that while the military component of the platform is of no appeal to me, DCS World really conquered my passion, respect and interest like no other simulator I've used so far ( well less MS FLIGHT in the beginning, while I could not yet tell what would happen... ). This is the reason of the OP - if we could get PMDG to develop a good add-on for that platform I am sure it would be "the best of two Worlds..."

 

I have to respect their decision not to support a simulator that does not cover the whole World in terms of scenery, although I do not really understand the why... Well, everything in life in entitled to change, so, maybe someday in the future PMDG changes course, or ED enlarges the scenery area(?)
