Blue Screen...?!

Featured Replies

Every so often I keep on getting a blue screen appear and then my computer restarts. I don't know much about these sort of things, so thought it was best to ask here what exactly is the matter. It says memory dump and/or hardware is faulty (or somewhere on those lines).

Thanks in advance!

Most likely a bad OC.  Is it the Stop Code 0124?  Could be many things associated with your overclock (CPU voltages too high/low or memory freq/timings/voltages not properly set.  It could simply be a bad driver too (simply stated but maybe not so easy to fix).  I would download and run one of those driver scanner programs (I use Driver Scanner) and see if you have any out of date drivers.  If you do you can Google the bad driver and download it and install it OR you can pay the scanner program to automatically download and update it for you.  It's amazing how many drivers can be out of date.

Best regards,

Jim

I did download that on Sunday. I had quite a lot of outdated drivers, the updates appear to have fixed the BSOD.
