July 1, 201312 yr and now none of the switches/buttons/FMC keys work on any of my aircraft.. why is this? David Garrison
July 1, 201312 yr Because you need the right versions. You need versions 1.1 thru the latest. They are not backward compatible. You might use the utility at the following link to verify - http://blogs.msdn.com/b/astebner/archive/2008/10/13/8999004.aspx. Also make sure you have Microsoft Visuals C++ 2005 w/SP1, 2008 w/SP1, and 2010 installed. Best regards, Jim Jim Young | AVSIM Online! - Simming's Premier Resource! July 1, 201312 yr Author I've used the verify utility and have versions from 2.0 through 4.. it didn't have an option to verify older versions. However this all happened after a simple repair of the .NET framework version 4.. I really do not want to reinstall everything. David Garrison
July 2, 201312 yr You definitely need version 1.1 (which was installed with FSX when you first installed FSX). If you do not have version 1.1, then, for some reason, it was deleted. You can get all versions at Microsoft.com. Just search for Microsoft.net. You can see what versions are installed by looking in Windows\Microsoft.net\Framework (x86)\then the versions (you need the x86 or 32 bit versions as FSX is a 32 bit application).
