For X-Plane, this lets anyone quickly build…. AIRPORTS!

 

Now here is the coolness of it all: We have freely included a bunch of airport 'furniture' with WED.

This includes pre-built hangars, control-towers, terminal buildings, fuel depots, FBO offices, lights, etc.

 

So, you can now create airports that have pretty-decent layouts with really high-quality pre-built buildings!

This makes it really easy to get nice-looking airports hat are laid out about like the real ones… for the thousands of airports in the world!

 

On other words: The days of empty airports for X-Plane are about to end.

 

BUT, the few of us building X-Plane code are not going to fill in the 26,000 airports in the X-Plane Universe all by ourselves, are we?

 

For that, we need each recent X-Plane customer to do ONE airport.

Or, one of you to do all 26,000.

Or maybe some combination of the above.

 

 

 

So, here is how it will work:

Then, each person that wants to do a custom airport (now made easy with WorldEdit and our pre-fabricated housing mentioned above) can build the airport for their area.

 

Then, when done, you can send that airport package to Robin Peel (<[email protected]>) for incorporation into our database moving forwards, so ALL X-Plane users will your custom airport. If each person does a few, (or even one!) we will power through all of the airports of the world pretty quickly, and will have at least plausible airport scenery in X-Plane, for every airport on Earth.

 

SO, get WED now and get to work!

I do like Austin's enthusiasm. Though I do wish they had a greater variety of  airport assets especially planes.
