Blank textures

Recommended Posts

It appears that the blank texture set is extremely disorganised.  Trying to do a repaint will be next to impossible, at least for someone like myself.  Does anyone have any idea of how to make sense of it?

Cheers,

Fritz

I've got the same problem, but playing around with it for a while I find it's not unlike some of their others. Their existing paints kind of give you an idea of how they placed the registrations, so I'm fiddling around with a different way of layering and it's not going so well.

Maybe combining ext_2 and ext_3 on one aligned larger sheet will help. Hoping for an eureka!

Cheers

Larry

Yeah, the 185 and the 337 were bad enough, but this time they've outdone themselves.  Trying to get things to line up across all the texture sheets is a nightmare.  I, too, am waiting for the big lightbulb.  Thanks, Larry.

Cheers,

Fritz

Hi Guys,

I have the same problems. What I tend to do is as long as the Aircraft's reg is in a white/blank area I copy the section which has the reg in from the white texture and copy/paste over the original reg and then add my own reg over the top of that. But I know where your coming from the reg on lets say the Blue texture is over two files and I had great problems and time in match up. In the end luckily for me the Aircraft I re-registered had the number towards the rear so this was very easy to add.

That's what makes painting an adventure!  I'm doing C-GOXY at the moment and I can safely say there are no 'Eureka' moments. Just hang in there. Actually, painting is a bit like banging your head against the wall....It's lovely when it's over!

Timm, nice job. Is it finished?
