Military Airbases

Just wanted to know if anyone knows of any good military airbases for fs2004 I found a couple on avsim library I'm sure there's more I also ran into some freeware military airbases that just flight had in there website.

 

 

I would like to get some more but extremely difficult to find any ideas?

There are quite a few available, though very few that come close to "state of the art" sceneries for civil airfields. Here are a few suggestions:

Payware

Cloud 9 LIPI Rivolto. Older and not quite so good but LIPA Aviano

Aerosoft BIKF Keflavik (Joint use)

Flight Zone Portland (KPDX is joint use) 

FSDT PHNL Honolulu (includes Hickham AFB)

 

Freeware:

All of the Airfield Construction Group (ACG) bases. Any scenery with John Young's name attached to it.

 

I mean no disrespect to the many other freeware military bases, but these are the ones that really stand out for me

ps. Most of the ones I use are sceneries I have compiled myself using Instant Scenery and AFX but I can't upload them as they use all kinds of scenery objects I have gathered from various sceneries and I have no idea where they all came from...

Echoing what Ian says: the better ones tend to be joint-use.

I don't see it in the AVSIM library but it's over at flightsim.com: 

Rimini-Miramare (LIPR)

Superb scenery although quite demanding if you also install the area photoreal, and all the AI.

And on the payware side:

I was so disappointed with Aerosoft's Heraklion that I never go there as a civilian.

I tweaked the AI parking a bit (Attached for anyone interested, remove the txt suffix) , and enjoy it as a military base.

Follow this thread and you will have all the ACG sceneries in one place.. They are all excellent and freeware
