  1. Ah. Perhaps I exceeded some arbitrary limit in a single post? Thanks for doing this, and thank you for your comments!
  2. Thanks for commenting, John, appears not to be an opinion shared by the 158 bots that have also viewed the post! Appears the AVSIM Board is broken, too: some of the pictures appeared as links only when inserted as URL. Not worth the trouble it seems, especially since AVSIM stopped taking BBCode from FlickR, and FlickR doesn't offer a URL to insert. Pasting BBCode works everywhere else, and did for 17 years here, too.
  3. The strips are rugged and quite difficult to find. The PAC 750 is the right machine for the job. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/54263433981_b3f9152017_4k.jpg https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/54263434026_1e6c14ea49_3k.jpg https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/54263433966_b04ada0887_3k.jpg
  4. Aaaand... it's a lovely one!
  5. What a treat to be taken through some of JanKees' extraordinary hangar collection! (That's a B-24 if I'm not mistaken)
  6. Very well done series...somehow I associate Waco with Duesenberg, they reflect a different time do they not?
  7. Thanks for the tour! What a complex and extensive scenery... On balance I am wondering about the level of internal detail current in the sim sceneries. Sure it's great to see the departure boards and people (but never in convincing numbers) in the terminal, but I find I look at it all... once. Is the computing - and possibly cost - overhead worth it, long term? Any following flights start and end at the gate. Much more important in my eyes would be: is the airport train well animated? Does the scenery integrate well with the surrounds? Are the roads properly linked, does the traffic flow in a convincing fashion? All the stuff you would see flying in and out of, or maybe about, the place
  8. I upgraded from AS v6 to ASE and have no problem with what I see in the sim. Perhaps I am not as observant...
  9. Probably best to head the payware route: UTT has EC120 and S-76 AI traffic packages worldwide. Flight1's Helo Traffic package lets you easily create your own as required.
  10. Dijvid: such things are best left to ActiveSky
  11. Come over to the FS9 Forum, and have all your anxieties gently soothed away...
  12. Very nice, been a while since I attempted Naval Aviation and All That. Mind you isn't it 30 years since Mav and Goose lent a new cool to the concept??
  13. Splendid shot... and somehow the old girl doesn't look too out of place, amongst all those ancient products of Boeing!
  14. Think the MiG-25 had similar; a manual "panic button" if pilot lost orientation.
  15. There used to be an FS9-specific Sweetfx topic pinned here. It got removed and tossed into the general AVSIM technical discussions. I've never bothered looking but if you rummage around the site you may be able to find something useful.
  16. Yes nicely done, all too easy to get Dirty Cotton Wool Blob clouds at that time of day...
  17. Last I heard it was not on any visible time line. If you're quick, you can still edit the topic title with a question mark!
  18. My version is 5.2.200 (Build14548) Maybe you should try it? Maybe I should try your v4
  19. Pretty good FDE there... I will have to go troubleshoot what obscure setting I changed to cripple these models. Thanks for the clip, Ed.
  20. I run at 30fps, perhaps that's why I never noticed... More important to me is the way it minimises to the taskbar when you start the sim, and resets to default values! Then you have to go back and re-select a custom profile.
  21. Be good to know if these work on the stock Humberside AFD, mine do resolutely not. If others do, I can start looking at my setup.
  22. Yeah yeah... there's bound to be an Agusta Westland somewhere in there, too  Interesting how long they take to pick up the gear, well beyond "positive rate of climb". Joseph, the upt file surely supersedes the original?
  23. Funny, I was just mentioning these today, a propos Aberdeen (as and when it arrives). I've never managed to get that model to behave as AI, it taxies on forever. SO I just plug 'em in to Flight 1 Helo package. For Humberside, Ed has convinced me this is incorrect, and they should taxi to the active!
  24. Well it doesn't look as if the sky fell! Nice screens too! I may well take this thought into the next sim that I build, thanks for the idea. Now I think about it, AI simply spawns and vanishes on the surface of the 40km bubble surrounding your viewpoint. If you happened to be near a removed airport, AI would try to land, then vanish. Not sure if it would spawn inside the bubble however.
