I am going to release another weekend update to my Evo update. This will include autogen improvement, coasts, new golf courses, tweaked roads, further improved clouds plus some other stuff.

Have a nice weekend!

Maybe post some screenshots? I'm still happy with my UT- GEPro2 combo but I wouldn't mind taking a look at the updated EVO.

Looking forward! Would it be possible to include some beta-Spring textures?

My lovely wife has been hogging the PC over the weekend to watch the Olympics (she used to be a track runner) so I couldn't do quality control and packaging. Sorry!

Here is a series of screenshots for the Evo Summer 2016 update.

New, improved and denser Evo autogen, here at one of my favorite spots in FS. LIEO Olbia airport on Sardinian Costa Smeralda.

European autogen also improved. Screenshot south of Berlin.

New autogen for tropic locations.

Just took off from Oshkosh in Milton Shupe's new TP Grumman Mallard. New autogen has additional trees along roads and field edges + fixed placement of objects.

New roads and autogen building textures for more contrast in cities.

Roads and rails in cities are much improved.

New detail.bmp with several options improves ground definition even from altitude. Fields and woods now look better from all altitudes.

I improved cirrus clouds too.

New cirrus clouds blend well with cumulus to create convincing cloudscapes. I use ASE for weather.

New tropical reefs.

FS9%2B2016-08-11%2B23-41-08-87.jpg

Two sets of summer trees - darker and lighter. This is the darker. Previous shots with other aircraft registrations had the lighter.

Hopefully I will release the update this weekend.

Cheers,

Sascha

Why is the sky so blue?  It looks like you're flying at 80,000 feet in a U-2.

I was going to ask the same? The ground textures look good but everything looks so dark during the daytime, especially with the dark blue sky. Does look good from an artistic stand point, but not from a realistic view.

The ground textures really do look beautiful.

Does Evo replace Ground Environment and Ultimate Terrain or does it blend with these two?

I'll post some more screenshots with a different sky set. Sky textures not only change the look of the sky but also ground textures if there is a visibility limit. Also affects lighting on planes, buildings and shadow.

 Hi Bert,

Evo replaces all default textures globally so will do the same stuff as Ground Environment. It is optimized to work with Ultimate Terrain. UT improves landclass and adds more accurate roads, rails, rivers, lakes and coast lines. I have replaced most UT custom textures with Evo textures but running the UT texture configurator should fix that.
