August 31, 20169 yr Hi all! This goes to you who use TrackIR in FS9. I've had v4 with the trackclip for many years and couldn't fly without it. But the periodical stuttering has always bugged me. It comes and goes, never ends. The sim itself is completely smooth, locked at 60fps vsynced and stays there. It's only when you pan around that you notice the stuttering. It's no showstopper at all, but an annoyance that I'd be happy to get rid of. This stuttering does not happen in FSX or P3D. So I got in contact with the devs at NaturalPoint and they requested a video that shows the problem. I made one and now they are looking into it to see what can be done. Really pleased with the customer support over there, fast and forthcoming. I'd like to know if you too are experiencing this. Here you can download the video I sent them and have a look yourselves. You should really download the video, not just play it directly, to see it in full quality 60fps. https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B_bldUdi7dfTT0ZxOHhyandBc00/view?usp=sharing
August 31, 20169 yr I run at 30fps, perhaps that's why I never noticed... More important to me is the way it minimises to the taskbar when you start the sim, and resets to default values! Then you have to go back and re-select a custom profile.
August 31, 20169 yr Author I've never had that problem. I'm using v4 of the software and you can decide if you want it to run minimized or not. I tried both and it worked fine, didn't reset to default. Have you tried to make your own specific profile for FS9? At 30fps it's never smooth, but if you're used to it then I guess it doesn't bother you. Without TrackIR 30fps can feel smooth enough, but using TrackIR the latency gets too big for my taste.
August 31, 20169 yr My version is 5.2.200 (Build14548) Maybe you should try it? Maybe I should try your v4
August 31, 20169 yr Author I've tried many versions but the problem with FS9 is still there. Will be interesting to see what the devs can do.
