Glasgow Airport FS9 scenery

Featured Replies

Glasgow Airport appears to be the only main UK airport for which there is no addon scenery for FS9. Iain Gallacher has produced many excellent airport sceneries and Glasgow for FS2002 but this does not work too well in FS9.He has produced an excellent airport scenery(freeware) for Edinburgh for FS9. He says that he has no plans to produce one for Glasgow.Does anyone know of any other addon for Glasgow or is there anyone interested in producing one. Perhaps Gary Summons may be interested but it would of course have to be compatible with Scotflight scenerey. I am sure it would be welcomed.

I wish I could say every major US airport had been done except for one. I bet Gary Summons at UK2000 will get there eventually.

Hi Johns,I share your feelings. I loved Iain's Edinburgh Airport in FS2002 (in fact I helped beta test it :)) but for some reason on my rig it is not very frame rate friendly in FS9 unless I turn down the detail, so is currently disabled. I suspect this is a direct consequence of having the Scotflight scenery installed as well. Sadly this has discouraged me from trying his otherwise excellent Glasgow for FS2002 in FS9. Ah well, the combination of Scotflight and the default Edinburgh where I can get smooth frame rates with everything maxed suits me just fine for the time being. HiI find that the Glasgow works fine in FS9. As I recall, there are some free updates to Glasgow on the Scotflight site.as well as anupdated Edinburgh.RgdsAdrian

i use the 2002 version of glasgow, runs fine here, in fact i also still use the 2002 edinburgh aswell becasue when i use the 2004 version i get the escorts from the doolittle raid instead of the buildings, also i get a lot of clipping with the jetways.

Mike have you tried Iain Gallacher Edinburgh Airport for FS9. It is excellent, freeware and frame rate friendly.
