Triggering oil leak from an XML gauge

Featured Replies

Dear Community,

I am trying to simulate some enhanced piston engine behavior and especially failures caused by engine abuse. One of the answers I struggle to find is about how to turn on an oil leak sequence? There is an "Oil leak" event you can access via the "Failures" menu, and when triggered, it produces a very realistic sequence of oil leak and associated indications, but I couldn't find a relevant gauge event in SDK to use to trigger this event via an XML gauge. There were several topics on this I could find, but it looks like people also left with no answers. So is there a way to trigger an oil leak via an XML gauge? Or, if not, via C++ gauge?

Hi,

You can, if you construct your own oil-system using L:Var's.

Same for the other systems.

You have to leave the buggy FS-systems behind.

Lot of work, but fun!
