Scenery error at SVLO. Anyone got a fix?

"Once you create the new Raw data..." I wouldn't know where to start I'm afraid and at the moment, browsing through the pdf guide, I see that to work out how to do this is going to take hours and hours. I can't undertake that at the moment.

Any chance you could upload your files to the library?

:-)

ONE MINUTE LATER: Our posts crossed!! Not sure what kind of 'cake' you are thinking of, but I'll have another look in the light of your 'mini tutorial'!

Thanks. I'd still like to try to do this myself too though. At first I used LWMViewer V1 - and right-clicking there (although I could see a map of the island) did nothing. So I guessed you must mean V2... The problem there is that when I click on FS2004/Follow, nothing happens. When I openLWMV2, the main interface is a blank greenish yellow window. Clicking 'Follow' (with my a/c paused over the island in FS9 of course) doesn't change that, co-ordinates are still zero in the bottom and I still have just a blank yellow-green window. I don't get anything like your nice maps. I reinstalled it, but same thing. Does it work in Win7 x64??

That's probably why I have never got any further with the programme - I never knew how to get past this lime yellow blank window (I'll post a screenshot! Revolting colour too!!). Can you advise??

I did try proceeding in any case and got an inf file which I dragged to my TerrainSDK resample.exe. I got a bgl file, but it does nothing in FS9. (I have a folder I use for flattens/excludes etc with a library priority above all my other scenery in FS9, so it should work from that point of view.

Yes, it may be a day or two before it appears. If you don't mind emailing me the files and I will test them ASAP and post back.

The email address I use for AVSIM is (slightly coded for security, but you'll see what it is of course!):

Thanks again

Yes i have also windows 7 64bit and it works great and yes V2 would be the one im referring to, once you load it the green screen would be the first thing you'd see but it also should scan your scenery database automatically.

If it doesn't work for you the only thing i can think of that might prevent it from working (but unlikely)is your FSUIPC do u have a registered version of FSUIPC?

Yes, have registered FSUIPC. Can I get it (LWM) to scan the scenery database manually?

Yes the bgl file is not going to work because you need to literally paint the terrain with LWM Viewer for that you need to see the map once conected to the sim try running the Show scenery DB in the LWM Vierwers Menu under follow plane

OK :-)

Gone into LWM/Preferences.. Database tab and tried to rescan, but when I confirm ('it may take some time...') there is no sign of any activity. I have zero in the box for Accurate boundarty scan of .... (no idea what that is of course)

Just sent the email wasn't sure if it was .com or .co lol so i sent it to both check now and let me know if you received the files

Hi again! Got the bgl file and yes, it works just fine  , so thanks again.

I would still like to be able to do this myself - it looks a piece of cake, as you said, compared to trying the same thing in Ground2K4. But my LWMV2 is still 'greened out'.. Will let it run, as you suggest, though it looks 'dead'!

I acidently added an aditional Scenery folder within the zip file u can delete that just throw the Venezuela folder in addon Scenery and Activate it

.. as for LWM, if it were building a database, I think there would be some faint signs of CPU activity for the process in Task manager. But it's always zero. And the programme is still sitting there after 20 minutes... no signs of any change. The path to FS9 is correct in 'paths' and it has found the Resample, BGLC & BGLCOMP exe files OK. Maybe I should post separately about this..

That is strange Post a seperate topic and if i find a solution for you i will help you out with that in the mean time go in to the process manager and make sure LWM Viewer isnt running multiple times, if it is then close all the process trees and re-run
