Hot to get AI traffic at Hong Kong's KAI TAK (VHHX)?

Featured Replies

I know the airport is officially dead but I would like to bring it back to life and have AI traffic coming to and from this once amazing airport. I am using Ultimate Traffic 2 and I heard or read somewhere that it's possible to do this by changing the icao code using the UT2 Power Pack? Does anyone know anything about this or could please show me. I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

Unfortunately I'm not quite sure of how to do that in UT2, although I did find this post [http://www.flytampa.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3116] regarding how to get AI traffic at Kai Tak if for whatever reason you had WoAI planes installed. I also did a quick search and it led me to this [http://ut2.flight1.net/index.php/downloads/ut2-power-pack.html]. I'm not sure if this includes a manual, but hopefully this is some sort of help.

Sorry - just as I was posting this I did a bit of last minute searching. Hopefully this page has what you're looking for...[http://www.flytampa.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3713]. If you scroll down a bit there's a link to three .txt files that you can compile with an AI traffic converter (like AIFPC).

Hopefully this helps!

Okay so do I compile all 3 files or just "Flightplans_VHHX_FSX_Aerosoft_FSX"? I end up with a "Traffic_VHHX_FSX_Aerosoft_FSX.bgl" file that is 5.8MB, where do I place this file?

Will this method get rid of all incoming/outgoing AI traffic at VHHH because I would like to keep traffic going to both airports in the Hong Kong region.

Thanks

A .bgl file is what you need. It shouldn't replace your VHHH traffic (unlike other solutions), although if it does just delete or move the file. It should go in the {Microsoft Flight Simulator X/Scenery/World/Scenery} folder.

Tell me if it works and good luck!

Okay I placed the file where you said, and I don't see any activity at Kai Tak. Am I suppose to add it to the scenery library too?
