Release Version 3.20

It looks like the new Weather Map generation may be hogging the disk and causing some short delays within the simulator, resulting in a drop in frame rates. I have now pushed this process into the background so that it will not have any adverse effect on the simulator's performance. The new release will also provide a Background GRIB Processing option to give users the choice of either a fast GRIB processing with delays in the sim, or a slower GRIB processing and minimal delays. The GRIB processing is only performed on the ground prior to the flight so this should not cause any problems.

I will post a new Release, Version 3.21, tomorrow just in case the above GRIB and Weather Map processing is causing anyone problems.

Thanks. I had noticed that v3.2 was hanging fsx.

This new release is awesome! I love the maps and the flight planning stuff

Thank you, there's plenty more to come as well. But I made a bit if an error with the Weather Map data generation which will effect the sim especially if sharing the same drive as OpusFSX. Best install FSX on its own drive if possible, but I will put it right tomorrow.

After tomorrow's fix I will be adding Cruise Level Winds and Cruise Level Temperature maps. I also hope to add wind arrows very soon along with other map data.

Very pleased you like the upgrades anyway.

Stephen

It seemed to work fine on P3d? Maybe I just didn't notice.

Oh well , will get the fix.

Thanks!

It does not have much of an effect on some systems. The new release will be posted very soon.
