I'll try to be as clear as I can be because my native tongue is french. I have installed yesterday FSX Gold from digital download from GFWL,( Games for Windows Live ) everything went well until I launch the game, their was an error message, that I did not wrote down so I can tell you.

 

So I decided to uninstalled the game and went into the regedit command to uninstall anything related to FSX Gold. After doing this I went back to try to uninstall the game and I still can't. The error message I get is a pop-up window, that say's, sorry my game is in french: Explorer.exe erreur non spécifier and then another message say's: Échec de la désinstallation de l’élément.

Code : 80004005 and this also: Une erreur HRESULT E_FAIL a été retournée à partir d'un appel à un composant COM. So hopefully someone will be able to help me because I have try to delete all folders and files of FSX but in vain, still cannot uninstall and reinstall the game.

 

Am on Windows 7, 64 bits

You might try creating a new user account in Windows and try installing FSX in it.

If you  changed the registry before trying to uninstall  FSX then I'm not surprised that you can't uninstall it.

 

If you backed up the registry then you could try restoring it. If not then try manually deleting every FSX file and folder..
