Hello, maybe a 737 expert can help me here:

If you watch this video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=MKspqDabCAk&t=259

He is going though the overhead panel stuff, and when he turns on the window heat, you hear a chime.

Than he holds down a button, it goes "TCAS SYSTEM TEST, OK".

When I do this in the NGX, it doesn't happen...

Is there a reason?

You don't see it, but F/O tests TCAS, that is where the sound comes.

Attend chime is heard, but not pressed in cockpit, so it's probably turned on by a flight attendant.

Hello

No sounds are missing. The chime is not related to the window heat, its just the seatbelt sign.  The TCAS test functions as a push button located on top of the transponder switch.  Press it and it will go through it's bit check.  Cheers.

There is another one I found:

When you press the button for proximity warning test, it doesn't say "Obstacle", or "Air Speed Low"

But where is the sound..

When you press the button for proximity warning test, it doesn't say "Obstacle", or "..

There are two GPWS tests - short and full. I don't remember what each test tests. For first one you press button momentarily, for second - hold it for five seconds. And probably there could be some airline options with that.

TCAS panel as well as its test button is on pedestal, not on the overhead (it was voice recorder test).
