18JUL14 - PMDG 777-200LR/F SP1 and PMDG 777-300ER Released
She's amazing. This hobby would have lost my interest many moons ago if it weren't for your aircraft. I'm preparing for a Level D 777-300ER FFS session in the fall and I plan to impress! Cheers- Paul

OOM's anyway!
HIGHMEM=1 fix in the fsx.cfg file in conjunction with upgrading to a 64x operating system helped me tremendously. Cheers

SP1 Beta Preview - Weather Radar into ATL
Looking good! That weather radar is wicked! I was using the ASN map to thread around some weather on approach to VHHH a few days ago and got my first "BOOO-BEEP "WINDSHEAR WINDSHEAR".... Oh, man... that made the whole flight for me right there! Honestly, I think I welled a tear. Exciting times (and weather) ahead! Thanks for the update! Cheers!

BBJ and ER editions
Hi PMDG and friends, I just wanted to post a quick reminder that there are very many of us still eagerly awaiting information regarding getting our meat hooks on the BBJ and Extended Range versions of your magnificent NGX series. Considering the recent technological advancements regarding the Datalink and weather radar, expanding this product line is more appealing than ever! Cheers Paul Wood

PMDG 737NGX missing sounds?
Hello No sounds are missing. The chime is not related to the window heat, its just the seatbelt sign. The TCAS test functions as a push button located on top of the transponder switch. Press it and it will go through it's bit check. Cheers.

So... the 747... FMS version on v2? And more
I was under the impression the 777 and 747 were being developed more or less in parallel? Is this not the case?

24JUN13 - PMDG 777 Virtual Cockpit Preview!
I will make a prediction. We will have the 777 in our hands within 30 days. Over and out.

NGX Autoopilot
The heading on the Nav display is actually the current *track* of the airplane. Look at your HUD to confirm your airplanes heading corresponds to the set MCP value. Cheers, Paul

Thanks PMDG. I love you.

Small documentry on a development cycle?
Great idea! Even just a little "behind the scenes" look would be fabulous.

How True?
Hi Stelios The NGX has everything the real airplane has except for a weather radar which is not possible to simulate in FSX. The cockpit, FMC, engine start sequence etc.. functions exactly like it does on the real airplane. In my opinion it's the most accurate commercial jetliner simulation ever made in the history of Flight Simulator. Buy it, you won't be sorry! Cheers, Paul

BBJ addon
What else differentiates a BBJ from a regular NG aside from the aux fuel tanks?

Flaps Retracting Question
You have it correct. At "1" you go to flaps 1 and at "UP" you can retract them completely. The flap markings on the PFD denote the minimum safe speed for each flap setting I believe.

Setting up realistic failure modeling
Had my first random failure on Monday while en-route to KORD. The immersion was great. I smiled a big smile. However, it was very bad timing for a "BLEED TRIP OFF" master caution while descending through ice pellets on approach.

HUD display gone
You can also check the the HUGS control panel near the radios and ensure the "clr" button isn't selected.

How do I de-register PMDG 737 NGX?
You don't. You just re-install on your clean system. PMDG allows a couple extra activations for this situation.

Animation jump in flap retraction finally fixed
He said they fixed the jump cut in the animation that occurs right before the flaps retract completely. Nothing was implied regarding their overall smoothness.
-
Animation jump in flap retraction finally fixed
I was hoping for a bit of a revamp of the flap animations so that their deployment would be smooth and without so many stutters. Hope it's within the realm of possibility.

Seeking Experienced System Builder in the Chicago Area
Hello I'm looking for an experienced system builder in the Chicago area to consult with for a new FSX build using the latest state of the art components. I know there are companies like DigitalStorm and AlienWare who build these types of rigs, however, due to the issues of maintenance on liquid cooled machines, I would like my system to be built locally to alleviate the burden of back and fourth shipping when problems arise. If you build state of the art systems and are local to my area please contact me. Thank you -Paul
