I did what you advised. However the result is still the same. Do I also have to delete the original prop_3 file?

Hans, yes, delete or rename prop_3.bmp. Prop_3.dds should now be doing its job. You should have prop.dds, prop2.dds and prop_3.dds in each of the Hampden texture folders.
