August 11, 201312 yr Hello, I just splashed out on some hardware. Will it run FSX smoothly with max settings PMDG etc? Geforce 780, 16GB and I7 series 4, SSD drives... will it be enough? Paul
August 11, 201312 yr At a payware airport in the NGX at stock clockspeeds expect frames in the teens you need to.overclock to really make use from the i7 ATP MEL,CFI,CFII,MEI. Type Ratings B-737, ERJ-190,ERJ-170
August 12, 201312 yr Will it run FSX smoothly with max settings PMDG You have to be very clear on what you mean by 'max settings'. If it's absolute max for all sliders, and highest video driver settings, that's one thing. I set EVERY single slider fully right, including traffic of all kinds, cloud draw distance and the highest driver settings using inspector. At KSEA at dawn in PNW ORBX scenery in the NGX in heavy weather, LOD 6.5: 13 fps at 4.4Ghz. No one in their right minds would run the settings where I had them. When I set to my normal settings, which is traffic at around 10-20%, autogen at very dense, clouds to 80m, LOD 6.5 I'm in the low 20's at KSEA, and it's smooth. Usually I'm seeing 30 fps locked in all of my normal areas I fly. August 12, 201312 yr Author Hello Guys, Thank you for the comments. When you say "overclock" do you mean the video card or processor? If the processor how do i do it? Thank you again Paul
August 12, 201312 yr Hello Guys, Thank you for the comments. When you say "overclock" do you mean the video card or processor? If the processor how do i do it? Thank you again Paul I mean the processor overclocking a gpu isnt needed. Overclocking is done via bios I'm not sure which mobo you have and overclocking differs with each one. If I were you I do.a google search on how to overclock with your mobo You have to be very clear on what you mean by 'max settings'.
