DC-3 VIEW settings

Featured Replies

I enjoy flying from the VC -- but am disappointed with the DC3 VC. Apart from the fact that it is not very nice (to my eyes)compared to other a/c VCs, I can't enjoy the eyepoint view. I have tried everything and can't get a viewpoint that suits. The problem is with the VC as I see it is that, although you have the opportunity to "pan" the panel, because it is a Sim , you have to be able to see the instruments ( especially on landing) and in the DC3 , it is nigh impossible to land using the VC and scan the instruments at the same time.Has anybody tinkered with their DC3 VIEW settings? -- any suggestions? Thanks Barry

Which DC3 are you refering to? The MS default? Try the DC3 R4D from MAAM (Mid Atlantic Air Museum) or RCPanels for their DC3's. Top of the line. RCPanels is for 2002 only and the one from MAAM is payware, for 02 & FS9.

hi there, to change your view in the vc you can use the plus and minus to move youe eyepoint backwards or forwards. i also use cntrl+ shift+ the little left facing arrow above enter to move my eyepoint right, then cntrl+shift+enter to go left, then cntrl+ the little arrow thing to go up and lastly shift+enter to go down. that way you can go right into the dials to see them and so on, by using the + and - as well to 'zoom' in etc:-wave
