August 14, 201312 yr Howdy: I don't know if this is the correct forum for this or not but here goes. I just finished with a new build (i4770k @ 4.4GHz, 16GB DDR3 2400) and I was running into a problem where FSX would crash with a fatal error after completing a flight plan and right after it asks you whether or not you want FS to move your plane to the departure location. After pressing Yes ... crash. I troubleshot the problem to the installation of FSInn and FSCopilot. Even though I followed the instructions of launching FSInn UI as an administrator from the Start menu directly after installing, I still received and OCX error when launching FS. So, I uninstalled and reinstalled and boom ... same thing. So, I got the bright idea of manually registering the OCX ... that fixed the problem. To accomplish this do these steps: 1. Type "cmd" in the "Search programs and files" box after pressing the Start button 2. When "cmd.exe" shows up in the programs list, right click on it and select "Run as administrator". This gives you a GOD level of command entry. 3. CD to the "Program Files (x86)\FSFDT\FSInn subdirectory ... there is one file in this subdirectory, FSInn.OCX. 4. Type "regsvr32 /u FSInn.ocx" ... this unregisters the OCX file 5. Type "regsvr32 FSInn.ocx" ... the reregisters the OCX file After that my problem went away. Has anyone else tried to solve this problem in this manner?
September 8, 201312 yr One other thing to try.... open the DLL.XML with notepad and be sure that FSCopilot is at the top of the list............ <Launch.Addon> <Name>FSCopilot</Name> <Disabled>False</Disabled> <Path>Modules\FSCopilot.dll</Path> </Launch.Addon> If that doesnt work, move it to the last entry.....however on some machines the solution is to wait until after you have actually entered onto an airport before loading a flight plan, hope this helps Jay
