FSX will only start from default flight

Featured Replies

I started this thread on the main FSX forum a couple of days ago and it mysteriously disappeared and although I wondered if it had been moved here, I still can't find it!

Basically my problem is that in the last few weeks FSX will only start using the default Friday Harbor flight - if I try to change the location to start anywhere else or load a saved flight then FSX crashes! If however I start the default flight then I can change to another airport or load a saved flight without any problem. This is a nuisance as it does waste a bit of time and I would like to be able to start FSX anywhere I wish. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

I had this issue once. What I had to do, was this. Not sure which of the two I did first.

All my addon scenery in the addon scenery/scenery folder and /texture folder I moved out. I just put it on the desktop in its own folder.

Then , I went into the config, and deleted all my trusted addon entries.

I then loaded up, accepted the addons on startup and I was then able to use the menu to move my flights am settings around.

I then added my addon scenery back one by one. It turned out that one of my scenery addons "freeware KSSI" was the issue and I deleted it.

Thanks - might be a challenge, as I have a LOT of addons, but will give that a try!
