August 23, 201312 yr Is there a way to get a GPS type map display in the 737NGX cockpit (with a terrain map and airport symbols)? Sorry if this sounds like a daft question, but I like doing a bit of VFR flying in my Cessna NGX! Christopher Low AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D CPU / 64GB DDR5-6000 RAM / 12GB Nvidia RTX 4070 Super GPU / Gigabyte X870E Aorus Elite Wifi 7 / 1+2TB Samsung Evo Plus M2 Nvme UK2000 Beta Tester

You click the EFIS button that says TERR, and the EFIS button that says ARPT. No need to put unrealistic trash in your high-dollar study sim. Kyle Rodgers
August 23, 201312 yr Author Thanks, Kyle....although I do not know what your second sentence is all about. Christopher Low AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D CPU / 64GB DDR5-6000 RAM / 12GB Nvidia RTX 4070 Super GPU / Gigabyte X870E Aorus Elite Wifi 7 / 1+2TB Samsung Evo Plus M2 Nvme UK2000 Beta Tester
August 23, 201312 yr Commercial Member Thanks, Kyle....although I do not know what your second sentence is all about. You're welcome. My second sentence was meant to head off any potential thoughts of people (or yourself) to add in the default GPS or some other add-on. The plane has everything you'll need already. Kyle Rodgers
August 23, 201312 yr Author Thanks for clarifying that, Kyle. I guess I am just used to seeing smart arses being critical of someone that uses a "high dollar study sim" for VFR flying! Yep! ...and UTX/GEX owner here. I appreciate flights where navigation is by looking out the window. Granted, I don't normally do it in a 737, but visual is visual. Kyle Rodgers
