Carenado B58 Baron XPlane

Featured Replies

I have a lot of information at the Carenado site regarding 64 bit updates to XPlane. But I couldn't a definitive answer as weather my B58 Baron is 64 bit compatible. I have no sound and the cockpit view is un-useable.

Can one know the true answer?

Thanks in advance to all who reply.

Did you re-download the file from your Carenado account? AFAIK, this is the only way to update to the latest version

Pirata, Thanks

I purchased it from Aerosoft. My Carenado account has no record of the purchase. Do you think I should go back to Aerosoft and re-download from them? Which I can do but I won't know if I got the patch.

Your Suggestions.

Oh sorry, I thought you bought it from Carenado.

I have no idea how Aerosoft handles software updates, as I have never purchase anything  from them. With Carenado, when there's a new software version available, all I have to do is re-download.

I would suggest you send Aerosoft an email.

The best to do is to contact Aerosoft if you bought your add-on there.

But if you want to know if you also have the 64-bit plugin or only the 32-bit plugin, you just have to check if you have this folder inside your aircraft folder:

/plugins/sasl/64

If there's no "64" folder, it's not 64-bit compatible.

Happy flying !

MdMax,

I have no /plugins/sasl/64 folder.

I sent Caredano a message explaining the problem and asked if I should go to Aerosoft for the download. Also would I get the 64 bit version from Aerosoft. In the mean time I think I will download the Baron from Aerosoft. Now that I know how to tell if I get the 64 bit version.

As usual the people from Avsim forms come to the rescue. I'll let you both know how things go.

Thanks.

I downloaded and installed from Aerosoft.

When selecting a aircraft there are 2 acf options. One clearly says XpLane 10. Did it and everything looks terrific. Haven't flow it yet but will later.

Thanks again everyone.

Bill

Pirata, Thanks

I purchased it from Aerosoft.

Then simply log into your Aerosoft account and download it from them. It was updated just a few days after Carenado..

Ok, I should have read further ahead, before my answer...
