I reopen this topic because I think it's more confortable to have a topic for each plane.

 

So, the "Brake Fan" command does not work anymore. I ignore which version since it no longer works because I recently reinstalled MCE with a new computer.

 

On another subject I tried the ATC function. Whoa, it's great ! However, after some time the ATC window closes and/or opens when I press the radio button (del key). For info I need this window with text. It's more confortable for me to be more familiar with the ATC.

If you want ATC window displayed all the time, make sure option "auto-hide ATC window" in <ATC> tab of the user interface in NOT ticked.

 

 

Has the A300-B4 been updated since SP2?

I don't think so, the A300 Simcheck version is A300 SP2b. The command worked before with the old MCE version (BTW I don't remember which MCE version because by now I have the last MCE version with a completely new computer).

 

About the ATC window the "auto-hide ATC window" is unchecked.

Forgot to ask. ATC window closing on its own in FSX, P3D V1.4 or P3D 2?

 

It is itended to re-appear as soon as you hold DEL key down. What's not normal is for the window to auto-hide when the option is OFF.

It runs only on FSX Acceleration. I forgot to say that FSX is in full screen mode. Btw I saw there is the "NoFullScreenDraw=0" in the MCE.ini. By now I changed the value to 1. Perhaps was it the problem ? I'll try with this new value and I'll report.

Option "NoFullScreenDraw=1" is to prevent MCE UI drawing at all when FS is in full screen. The ATC option is separate.

 

I suggest you restore to factory settings. New options are added all the time. Occasionally "mce.ini" may become out of synch with latest release.

 

Couldn't confirm issue with Brake fan. It appears to be working.

 

Make sure you have "mcscA300.dll" version 1.0.1.2 in \FSX\MCE dlls\ folder.

 

Brake fan interfacing is done directly in VC. Now, only the engine start buttons are pressed using the 2D panel, everything else is handled directly.

 

Also, make sure you exclude "fsx.exe" from scrutiny of any anti-virus.

1/Sometimes all work like expected

 

2/Sometimes when "Del" is pressed :

a/ if the window is open, it's close itself

b/ if the window is closed, it's open itself

 

By now the only solution is to close and restart MCE but after a while the problem returns.

 

Concerning the Brake Fan command you 'r right and I'm right ;-).

The glitch is from Simcheck ! The only button not synchronized in panel 2d and virtual cockpit is this brake fan. Furthermore the button has no sound in the virtual cockpit !

So, not a big deal. However I tried to assign a sound via Voxkey but it's seems impossible if I ask for the vocal command (however it's possible in the context of a script). So...

No need to disable Microsoft Security Essentials. Ulike other freeware, this one is very good AV, not a show-off trying to flag anything on a whim just to impress you.

 

 

Say "show ATC" and "Hide ATC" and see if MCE has complete control on the FSX ATC window.

 

What's the FSX ATC window title? Is it "Air Traffic Control" or something else?

Really not sure what's going on since those Multi-monitor setups have their own gremlins.

 

Could be to do with the fact it's undocked, in which case you are advised to keep option "Auto-hide ATC window" OFF.

 

If that doesn't suit you, suggest you put the ATC window on main monitor, have it docked (transparent), and make sure "Auto-hide ATC window" option is selected in <ATC> tab. That window will remain hidden most of the time. MCE will occasionally pop it up to force it to update its options. That should be a good work aound.

Really not sure what's going on since those Multi-monitor setups have their own gremlins.

In fact the window is never undocked because I should have specified that FSX is running with two screens in FULL screen. Anyway if problem persists I will avoid open menus FSX after having launched MCE.
