Can't Stop Receiving emails After Installing Tapatalk ?

Featured Replies

Hello all

I've recently bought a new Android tablet onto which I have installed Tapatalk. Unfortunately, now I can't stop the Avsim forum postings being forwarded to my email account.

I have Tapatalk configured to "Notification off", but this seems to make no difference.

What's strange is that I've had Tapatalk installed on my Android phone for over a year and this has never happened before.

I've looked at my Avsim settings and, as far as I can tell, all relevant notifications are set to off.

Any help would me much appreciated as this is now getting rather annoying !!!

Thanks

Gary

Gary,

Your settings in Tapatalk don't govern the settings on the forum itself, but only the app. It sounds like you are subscribed to a topic maybe. On the bottom of the emails, there are specific instructions with a unique link to unsubscribe from the topic(s). Please follow those instructions.

Sincerely,

Chase

Chase.

I had been attempting this already through both my phone and tablet, but I kept getting an "oops" message stating that the forum topic couldn't be found. However, I subsequently tried it again on my PC and, so far, no more emails...

Many thanks for your prompt reply

Glad I could help, Gary.  It's probably saying that for one of two reasons.  You aren't logged in when you open that link from your e-mail (hence the no permission message), or it's been hidden by an administrator or moderator.

Sincerely,

Chase
