August 31, 201312 yr Question fellow flight simmers. You know how it appears that most of the virtual cockpit textures are 32 bit for Posky 777s'? Well, I use a 64 bit version of Windows 7. Since this computer is used mainly for FSX, should I re-install my operating system and install the 32 bit version of Windows 7?
August 31, 201312 yr No. Texture bit depth has nothing to do with computational instruction bit depth. Definitely stay with Win7_64. No. Texture bit depth has nothing to do with computational instruction bit depth. Definitely stay with Win7_64.

Hi, bigrobmjca, I often fly Posky 777s w/ VC in FSX (& FS 9) Windows 7 64 with no problem. Many users say that FSX works better w/ W7-64. Mike

August 31, 201312 yr I'm kind of lost as to what issue you're having. In your initial post, you were talking about textures being 32-bit, and now you're talking about the autopilot buttons and knobs not working. Captain Kevin Air Kevin 124 heavy, wind calm, runway 4 left, cleared for take-off. Live streams of my flights here.

Hi, bigrobmjca, There are several panels that come with downloaded POSKY aircraft packages. Some of them use gauges from FS9, so you may be missing them in FSX. I am assuming that you have a model with a VC (the VC has to be included in the visual model, in the model folder, and will have "VC" as part of the file name). Look in your FSX>gauges folder and see if you have a gauge called "Boeing777-300.gau". If it is missing, you may have to do a little searching to find it (unless you have FS9 -- then you can just copy it over). This MAY fix your problem. The best solution is to download and install Greg Wilson's free JB777 Panel. It is much closer to the real thing than other freeware panels, but will take some learning. It comes with its own gauges and very good flying and installation instructions, but you will need to follow the installation instructions very carefully to make it work properly. It is designed for the 777-200LR and 777-300ER, but should work with any POSKY 777 version. It also has a 2D panel. The panel file is called jb777panel_rel_1_032.zip It is available on AVSIM for download at this link: http://library.avsim.net/download.php?DLID=167467 Greg recommends that you use the FSX versions of the models (they have "OSX" in their names), but none of these have VCs. So if you want to use the VC, you need FS9 models that have "VC" in their names. Also, there are some inherent limitations in the POSKY VC. You will still need to use Greg's pop-up 2D MCP (autopilot) panel for some functions, such as changing the bank angle. Mike Unless you have FS9, you are going to need the Boeing777-300.gau in any case. It appears to be available here, included in "FSX Boeing 777-300 Package." http://simviation.com//simviation/static.php?ID=60&page=24
