September 4, 201312 yr Commercial Member Kyle (my apologies for calling you Ryan) I hear what you are saying, but it was patently clear from way back there was going to be an unprecedented demand for the B777. No worries. I just wanted it to be clear that I'm not Ryan from the team. I agree. They knew that there would be a lot of demand. Thus, systems should have been in place to cope with this, but for reasons which aren't clear, weren't. Again, I have to say that, unless you know the behind-the-scenes happenings of everything that they did or did not do, I would stress that you should withhold judgment until hearing the official story. As far as I'm concerned PMDG "dropped the ball" on this occasion and, for the moment have left many of us in the lurch. The team is actually going through each order to ensure everyone gets their product. While, yes, people purchase downloadable software to have it nearly immediately, but it's not like you're not getting your product. A post was made. It contains instructions on how to get in contact with the team to make doubly sure that you get your product (albeit, yes, with more delay than you'd anticipated). It should be followed. I understand that you're frustrated. I would be too. Hopefully matters will be resolved sooner rather than later but as I said before I'm not holding my breath. I was actually feeling a little bad about how I phrased my earlier posts until I read this. Again with the overly-judgy, holier-than-thou attitude... There's an acknowledged problem (you can see this - again - in that they made a public statement here on the forum). They are working on it. As they've communicated the fact that there's a problem, I'd assume they'll make a follow up post tomorrow about what happened (they did with the NGX). As they don't have a history of screwing people over, I think it's reasonable to give them a little benefit of the doubt. Something happened, and it could very well be that it was an issue with a vendor they've contracted. So Jordan, if it was "an unforeseen bug with the online store" why haven't we been told? Really...? How many times have I pointed to the sticky related to order issues, and you're still claiming you've never been told? http://forum.avsim.net/topic/418165-order-issues-read-please/ ^^^ Now you really have no excuse because it's linked. ...again, I know you're upset, and I know you really wish you had your product by now, but posting vitriol here isn't going to fix the issue! Everyone else seems to be doing just fine using the method they've asked people to use. If you fail to do that, it's really only your fault. Kyle Rodgers
September 4, 201312 yr Author Ok Kyle, I'm done with venting. This isn't going anywhere so best to call it a day. Frank;
