I have a destop my main fsx machine and a laptop which I use when I'm out of town. Do I have to buy 2 copies of the T7 if I want to install it on both computers?

I might be wrong, and in no way my answer can be considered as official, but you can transfer the licence between 2 of your own computers. Just read the introduction manual and take a look in the T7 CDU options. Somebody please correct me if I am wrong!

Yes you can as long as you are only using one at a time. You can't fly on one computer and have someone else flying on the other at the same time. For an official post by PMDG see this thread:
