September 4, 201312 yr Hi All, I cant get the taxi lights ON without switching the landing lights ON with any default FSX airplanes. Is it normal ? I dont know if this issue appears since I use Wideview. Thanks for help Christian
September 4, 201312 yr It should be possible to switch them on seperately(this is visible if you view your aircraft's front landing gear: only the taxi lights should illuminate when the switch is on, same applies for the landing lights). However, it is possible that even if the taxi light switch is on, the lights do not illuminate the ground, because they are not linked to a texture (I guess it's an effect texture, but I'm not sure) - in this case you need to switch the landing lights on, or maybe it is possible to assign a texture to it, so that the taxi lights themselves can illuminate the ground. September 4, 201312 yr It's a known issue that the default planes don't have working taxi lights. AFAIK there is no fix for this. Yes, you can add an effect to show a light "blob" at the source. However it will not illuminate the ground. regards, Joe The best gift you can give your children is your time.
