Baro Minimum setting?

Featured Replies

Loving the T7.

Just tried to set my Baro to 890qnh but can't reduce the setting below 948.  I can't find any limits mentioned in FCOM or on the forums here.

Any ideas?

(Also: I don't much like the click n drag rotary - would like the mousewheel approach back, even if only as an option).

This is an FSX limitation.

FSX will not allow for anything below 948. There is no point in allowing to set barometric pressure below 948 in the 777 if FSX will set it back to 948.

Click and drag rotary:

If you get used to it you will find it is much easier to make large changes (especially for minimums) compared to the mouse wheel way, because you have a slow and a high speed detent and in each detent the change rate is increasing the longer you hold the knob.

This is exactly the way it works in the real aircraft. The change rates and the way they vary by detent position and time were simulated using precise timings from the real cockpit.

Resistance to change is a natural human emotion.  It's actually a lot easier with this new method, but people aren't going to like it simply because it's different.

Thanks for the replies guys.  Never knew about the FSX limit.  Don't think I've ever come across such a low figure before.

I will persevere with the click n drag!
