777 brief pause while in-flight

Featured Replies

Hello,

I am sending this message because I purchased the FSX 777-200 package last night (September 5, 2013) and I am experiencing pauses between 20-30 seconds each, every few minutes and it has been happening in every single flight that I have done and it's driving me crazy. I am not sure how to fix the problem. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I tried flying other planes (PMDG 747-400X and the model extension PMDG 747-8i/F) and no problems flying those planes.

My system is a Hellfire GTX from Jetline Systems with Windows 7 64-bit, Intel Core i7 quad core, Nvidia GeForce GTX770.

Thank you

Kind regards,

That said of interest, I used to have a problem like this with NGX that I solved with a HDD upgrade.

Can you move the mouse cursor/manipulate other during the freeze?

If you open Windows Task Manager (alt+ctrl+del in windows 7 then select Windows Task Manager) and go to the Performance tab, open Resource Monitor and go to  Hard Drives tab, do you see % Active time go up to 100% and i/o spiral down to 0 kb/s during the freezes?

I'm not in support, just interested.

Hello,

Thank you for your reply. I can not move the cursor because my FSX freezes but then it comes back as if nothing happened. I don't have a game crash or anything like that. It just pauses (freezes) for a few second.

I will try your suggestion tomorrow and see what happens.

Thank you again for your reply... I'll post here as soon as I check it.

My plane freezes for a long time. When I move my joystick, I can see that on the screens, but nothing happens. Sound is gone too.

Hello Hopskip,

Yes, I do see the spike in % in the resource monitor... It goes all the way up during the pauses.

Also, I tried different planes including the PMDG 747-400x and 747-8i/F and they all work well with no problems.
