September 7, 201312 yr Hi can anyone advise, When I set my aircraft up pre-flight as soon as a disconnect Ground services I get the FMC message L GPS R GPS Invalid and the warning bleeper sounds a GPS light above the IRIS selectors is illuminated and the D/C light fails to extinguish I have programmed the FMC POS as per PMDG documentation and gate number is inserted and the aircraft has remained static at the same airport. I'm using Windows 7 64Gbts Ultimate FSX with accelerator Many Thanks Richard Richard Coombs
September 7, 201312 yr Have you moved the IRS switches to the NAV position to align them? They are in the upper overhead panel on the left-hand side. Marko Milivojević
September 7, 201312 yr It sounds like you're disconnecting ground power without anything to replace it. Start the APU, and make sure you select the APU buses to on. I've been caught by that myself more times than I care to admit, I start the APU, never connect the buses, have my FS2Crew F/O do the before start procedure in which he removes the chocks (which removes ground power) and suddenly I have no power... Steve Caffey
September 7, 201312 yr Author Yes IRS are set correctly and at times D/C lights extinguish and Aligns illuminate then extinguish, all appears normal I complete all my other set-ups then as Groundpower is disconnected The LGPS R GPS FMC prompts appear and the warning bleeper goes off really wondering what i'm forgetting to do, have followed the documentation and view dark n' cold set-ups on You Tube but all seems as others do. Anyway thank you for the reply Richard Thanks Steven That's a great pointer, I always have the APU fired up prior to disconnect but maybe amnesia when it comes to the APU buses i'll look at that and see if i've neglected that, were you getting the same FMC messages as me ? Once even had the plane lose power taxiing then the same FMC message and engine shutdown. Thanks Steven Richard Richard Coombs
