Cockpit color availability

Featured Replies

Hi, PMDG team,

Congrats on your release of the T7.  Wanted to ask before I buy this bird, can one select between the tan or grey cockpit surrounds?  I dislike my 747-400 cockpit because of the tan cockpit. I know in RL there is also a grey cockpit like the 737NG; I was on the flight deck of one about a year ago with the grey.  The attached pic is from Boeing and not my work.  As you can see, it appears very grey and not the lighter "sand beige", although that seems more common in the 777 fleet.  The pic is more representative of the one I was on about a year ago.  Please advise.

Kevin-

Unfortunately, like Boeing, PMDG decided on a single cockpit color.  Your picture's color balance is a bit off........  Hope you make the sacrifice to live with it.... she's worth it.

Hi, Carl,

The JAL 777 I was on last year was definitely not beige; perhaps faded from sunlight UV?  IMO, and as memory serves, even the seat trim was lighter and shifted towards grey.  It was a lighter bluish-grey, like the cockpit of an F-16 or F-15.  As to making the sacrifice, the color of the cockpit will not keep me from buying the bird, this month's budget will!  Probably pick it up next month.

Best,

Kev
