September 12, 201312 yr Hey guys! So I have had the 737NGX since December of the year it was released. And with my new rig, I want to start flying it for reals. I know MOST of the FMC setup, but what I don't know (according to the title) is all the steps before the decent. I don't know when to start descending (I usually set a fix radius), and the process to automatically guide the plane from auto-decent to auto-land. YouTube tutorials are misleading, as most of them are different, and I might need to read how to do it. So if anyone knows how to expertly (smoothly) do the process after cruising altitude has been reached. That would be great! -Thanks Dmitri S.

So if anyone knows how to expertly (smoothly) do the process after cruising altitude has been reached. That would be great! There are two tutorials that came with the aircraft, and both are dynamite (and not misleading). Tutorial #2 gets more into the descent information, though, if I remember correctly. Both will teach you more than you thought you'd ever go looking for, in a good way. You should definitely take a look at them. Start Menu > All Programs > PMDG Simulations > 737NGX > Should be in there, and if not, there may be another folder, but it'll have an obvious name like "Documentation" or something. Kyle Rodgers

O_o It's mostly pictures, don't be daunted/mislead by the number of pages. It won't take you longer than the flight itself. Not to be rude, but you bought a study-level sim. It's expected that you're going to do some reading. This isn't the default aircraft and if you want to fly it properly, part of that is going to require reading. Read there with pictures or read here without them... Kyle Rodgers
