November 19, 200421 yr Hi, just have a question about payware aircraft and the next microsoft flight sim: are current FS2004 models to be compatible as they are modelled in gmax or will they have to go through a conversion again, as from FS2002 to FS2004? or is this not known until the next version is released. i was just thinking of developers like carenado who charged $5 to upgrade their model.ThanksRyan
November 19, 200421 yr Hi Ryan,It is not truly known util the next version enters beta testing, at the earliest, and we are still quite some time off from that happening.Regards,http://www.dreamfleet2000.com/gfx/images/F...R_FORUM_LOU.jpg
November 19, 200421 yr Well, MS has not even officially announced the next sim, so at this point we don't know! It depends on how different the next version is and how much work is involved in conversion. I would guess that gmax would stay as at least supported, if not still the main standard used. ------------------------- Craig from KBUF
November 19, 200421 yr Author In the words of Donald Rumsfeld...that is unknowable at this point:-)As Lou stated we will have to wait and see...Eaglesoft made the FS2002/FS2004 transition for free but can only speculate about what MS might do.
