September 15, 201312 yr Does this really matters when it comes to memory use and such? I used to go 8xS on the AA, 2x SS and 16 on the AF, but if it will help reduce the cases of buildings not loading and all that after flying the 777, I would gladly put down the settings a notch? Anyone tried it? September 15, 201312 yr I use 8XS and 4SGSS together with 16AF on my GTX660Ti. No problems at all and never an OOM. Michael Gadeberg
September 15, 201312 yr I flew from YBBN (ORBX) to YMML (ORBX) last night with AA set to 32S and Anisotropic x16, only problem was set ILS027 at Melbourne with STAR and there was no ILS on runway 27 or the VOR capture was broken. I've noticed a "jerk" with the scene in FSX if I r-click in Spot view to bring up the menu to change views (777 locks up easily if I do it any other way), I've never seen that in FSX before, even with the heavy-duty Coolsky DC-9 running McPhat HD textures inside and out. Weird.
September 15, 201312 yr Btw to run the 777 at YBBN simply turn OFF all of its frame rate-killing extras in its control panel. Simple as that, then it works fine, no OOMs. The Aussies clearly wanted their own KSEA, and YBBN does that in spades. Beautiful work, but it's an exercise in You Can't Have Everything; you have to use it intelligently. Oh and I COULD have pulled off that ILS runway landing mentioned above; I stupidly forgot you have to DELETE the ILS along with the VOR radio frequencies in the FMC Nav Radio panel, I was just deleting the VOR locked default radio and thought that would be enough. The ILS radio tunes just fine once you've cleared it during pre-flight, and best of all, it doesn't play Miley Cyrus. :B
