Are you using the CH Control Manager?  LINDA?  FSUIPC?  None of the above?  There are many ways to accomplish this, depending on what you are using.

Hi,

How can i set up this button in my CH yoke?

I just recently did this using FSUIPC.  It was quick and easy.

I just set the FSX default "Autothrottle (arm)" (Shift + R) to the #1 joystick button on my CH Yoke. It's pretty simple:

1. Go to FSX "Settings" then "Controls" option.

2. Click on "Buttons/Keys"

3. Filter by "Engines" in the dropdown menu.

4. Highlight the "Autothrottle (arm)" command and click "New Assignment" or "Change Assignment"

5. Press the button on your controller you want to assign to the A/T disarm to...I use the left index finger trigger on the yoke.

6. Click OK to save the command, then OK again to save the settings.

I also defined the "Autothrottle engage (TOGA)" (default Ctrl + Shift + G) the same way except I use the left "toggle" switch on the right side of the yoke housing (technically button 6). Pressing this button downward activates TOGA so I don't have to click the clickspot on the MCP or do the keyboard command. Works nicely and is somewhat realistic in action.

Oh, and don't be stupid like me....make SURE you have the "Repeat" slider all the way to the left on these key assignments so that a long key press doesn't multi-toggle the action.

I will use whatever is good to do it

Then Adam's answer is for you.  It uses your built in FSX capabilities to set up buttons and switches.  Good Luck

Adam,

Does this method turn off the A/T arm swiches when you press the button?

In the real aircraft, when the A/T disconnect buttons on the throttles are pressed, the A/T Arm switches remain in the armed position (it is not spring-loaded like the 737).

The other way to do it is to make sure a key combination is set for the A/T Disconnect button under Key Combinations in the CDU, and then mapping a joystick button to that key press.

I use Linda to do it, well worth getting (free) look for it on forums here.

And yes, you set it up so it doesn't flip the switches, it is the arm switch same for autopilot, it doesn't flip the autopilot bar.

I have autopilot one connected to the button on right stick of my yoke, have toga on one of my saitek throttle units, so more realistic that clicking it on throttles.

I then have auto throttle toggle above that.

Though Linda I then map trim to rocker on left of yoke, transmit on yoke, and various lights etc on one of throttle units. The rockers on the yoke I use to change the nd mode and range.

A few other things are mapped to all through Linda, and have profile also for NGX.

Regards
