September 22, 201312 yr You don't center the elevators with the trim wheel. The elevator trim is there to adjust the pressure on the yoke when you pull the yoke back or push it forward. When taking off, you should have the trim set as per the FMC and set it with the trim wheel on the throttle quadrant. Once you pull back on the yoke, you adjust the trim to take pressure off the yoke by trimming the elevator up (and in a simulation you can release the yoke to let it center itself as you add trim). Once you have neautralized the pressure you can set the the A/P. Rob
September 22, 201312 yr Author Hi Rob Thank you so much, I followed your advice and the Elevators are now centred and return to the centre position when pressure is taken from the Yoke, your kind advice and a recalibration from the CH USB Control Manager as opposed to the FSX Manager which doesn't allow calibration of the Y Axis has rerstored my ability to enjoy Flight Sim again, I'm ever so grateful for your time and persistence in helping me Rob. Top Man !! Thank You So much for your great Support !!! (Now I can escape from Japan, even if its only in my Sim and Mind) Richard Coombs
September 23, 201312 yr Author We'll sadly my joy was short-lived and the Elevator problem has returned have tried calibrating with the CHUSB control Manager TRim Axis is Y Axis have assigned Trim Up & Down to Yoke Rocker keys, really haven't a clue where to go from here my sim is dead in the water with an Elevator that won't align any suggestions would be most appreciated Thank You Richard Richard Coombs
September 25, 201312 yr Are you also setting the Axis in FSX? Try cancelling the settings in FSX and just have the settings in the CH calibration. If this doesn't work, try it the other way round, cancel the CH settings and assign settings in FSX. IF you have everything set in two places, it confuses FSX. Rob
September 30, 201312 yr Author Thanks Rob These seems never ending, sorry, I even tried my Yoke back on my original Windows 7 Laptop 64bit and the Yoke worked perfectly but obviously the Laptop hasn't got the juice to handle the FSX & PMDG but once back on my Windows Ultimate 64 bit Desktop the Yoke problem returrns very strange, anyway Rob thank you again for helping me and i'll try your kind suggestions Many Thanks Richard Richard Coombs
