Does the fixer overwrite old dx10 fixes?

Featured Replies

I've been operating with Steve's freeware fixes. Now that I have purchased the fixer, what do I do with the old file? Do I uninstall it, or can the fixer overwrite old files?

thanks

tony

Hi Tony: If you still have the old ShadersHLSL folder - delete the patched version and put the original one back in. It raises too many questions, about "greyed-out" check boxes.

If you don't have the old one - you can have this one here.

(I'm giving them away free, today only!) Such a deal...

I am glad I had asked. Yes, I had deleted the old one and thrashed it.  Thanks for making the file available.

Hello Tony

Just adding to what Paul J wrote:

Once you download the file, check it's properties. (select and right click)
If you see an Unblock button at bottom of the applet; click it and then extract the files.

it will remove the read only attribute and other security stuff from the zip and its contents.

Cheers.

Ramón.
