How to I fix these?

Recommended Posts

These black boxes appear at night time around the lights. Also, Runway lights seem to flash on an off periodically according to camera orientation in the VC or outside

The scenery is Imaginesim KATL 2012. I have Steve's fixer.

Moving the Legacy slider full left solved the lights, but the taxiways disappear.

I have FSDT KORD and moving the legacy slider to the left worked for me, runway and taxiway.  There must be something amiss with the Imaginesim KATL.  Perhaps it's the halo.bmp.

Also did you flush your DX10 Scenery cache (User/AppData/Local/Microsoft/FSX/Shaders10) after making the change with the legacy slider?  I didn't but maybe this is something you might have to do.

Best regards,

Jim

You don't need to Jim - it does it automagically!

Jim's talking about the "Shaders" and "Shaders10" folders in your:-

C:\Users\{your username}\AppData\Local\Microsoft\FSX\  folder, David:

These are the "working" folders for the ShadersHLSL system, and must be deleted any time a change is made to the ShadersHLSL folder (in the FSX root folder). FSX will create them the next time FSX starts.
