September 28, 201312 yr Is there a fix the grey textures on aircraft (including AI) that we have when using DX10? Thank you.
September 29, 201312 yr Yes. You are welcome. Thats kinda rude but funny...lol. If you own the DX10 fixer, Try experimenting with the legacy sliders.
September 29, 201312 yr Author Jeff, I have DX10 Shader Fixers V3.2.2 from Steve Parsons. Is the DX10 fixer are you referred? I appreciate very much your help.
September 29, 201312 yr Patch V3.2.2 is the freeware DX10 fixer from Steve P., which fixes already a lot of issues as explained in the "how-to" doc on the top of the forum. The DX10 Fixer from Steve P. is a mayor continuation, which is available as payware from flightsimstore.com. The grey structure issue are largely solved on several addon sceneries and aircrafts. I recommend to visit Steve Parsons Blog at first to have a feeling of what is solved and what is still under investigation: stevesfsxanalysis.wordpress.com Wulf
September 29, 201312 yr which is available as payware from flightsimstore.com. It's currently not available due to some installer issues, I believe it will come back "online" for sale when Steve resolves the issues. But here is the link to "steve's " spot on FlightSimStore: http://www.flightsimstore.com/index.php?manufacturers_id=250 A quote from Steve's manual regarding legacy aircraft: Aircraft that use the FS8 BGL format in their model typically appear grey all the time. It would probably help if we knew what aircraft you are specifically talking about? FSX AI aircraft work "as is" in DX10 mode ... if you have Air Traffic add-on, then some of the older Add-ons are using legacy aircraft models. But "I think" most of the recent Air Traffic add-ons are using correct FSX aircraft models (I know Air Traffic 360 is DX10 compatible).
September 29, 201312 yr Author Actually, I use WOAI for AI traffic on FSX. But also some old GA AI models, some of them was designed to FS2002. Also, aircraft textures (the aircraft I am flying, not AI) appears grey in my system. Probably it will take some time to have freeware AI aircraft compatible with DX10. Thanks for your answer.
